You’re still here. And we’re still here. So that makes at least two miracles! Thank you Mighty Companion - for your witnessing, for your creativity and your Heart, and just for Being You. We would like to share some of the magic that happened last year at the Sanctuary, and to give our own witnessing to the humbling lessons that blessed us - because of you, because of the Life and Creativity of our community. Slambovian Circus of Dreams
In September, we hosted the amazing Slambovian Circus of Dreams, a legendary psychedelic rock band sprinkled with magical heyoka dust from Hudson Valley NY that inspired a singularly enthusiastic showing of passionate and loyal fans, esp. because the original date in July got rained out at the last moment. Lovers of the creative, communal space of circus as well as the philosophy of music, and vice versa, we bonded with these beautiful souls. We don’t have a date yet but we’re hoping to have them back this summer.
Stephane Wrembel
This show, his third visit to the Sanctuary, was truly epic in terms of the physical endurance Stephane and his band mates showed when they performed on a cool, blistery night in October under the Sanctuary’s circus tent. Stephane explained to the crowd that he could literally not feel his fingers. Nonetheless and even more impressive, the band swung their asses off, channelling Django Reinhardt and many other musical tonalities downloaded directly from the Devachanic realm. Yes, we hope to have these guys back this year as well.
Other Highlights from 2022
Yurt Renovation Completed
So much gratitude to everyone in the Sanctuary’s extended community that helped us crowd-fund our renovation of the Sanctuary’s yurt. She got a new skin, oculus and make-over this fall. She’s beautiful, and also cozier, allowing our Sunday meditation group to meet though the winter for the first time. Special thanks to the Church of the Infinite Heart, Mason Lucas and Anna Lucas, Sarah and Andrew Katsanis, Uncle Teo, Kate Novak and the Nickos, for their super-loving support of this project.
